Mandarin Oriental Boston Wedding of Alyx + Drew

Person + Killian love photographing weddings at our Back Bay neighboring hotel – the Mandarin Oriental Boston. Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing the wedding day of Alyx and Drew there.

The bride and groom started the day early, getting dressed and ready in the rooms of the hotel. A pre-wedding gift of diamond earrings arrived at the bridal suite from Drew before Alyx had even gotten her dress on! After everyone was dressed and ready to go, the couple took advantage of the summer weather and had their first look outside in the Mandarin’s outdoor Sitting Grove. We took some great shots of the couple alone, before they were joined by their wedding party for some group formals. Following the group photos, we moved inside with the couple for photographs of the Mandarin’s beautiful indoor spaces before the ceremony.

The interfaith ceremony took place in the Ballroom, with both a Reverend and a Rabbi officiating. After the “I do”s, the party kicked off in the Oriental Gallery for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The look and feel of the ballroom reception was both classic and modern — gold place settings on white linens, with alternating tall and short white floral centerpieces on all the tables. The crowd was energetic, fun, and definitely ready to celebrate this great couple!
